The General Assembly Team would like to welcome you to the fifth annual American School of Dubai Model United Nations Conference.
This year, we have selected an array of topics that fall in line with this year’s theme Opportunity: Supporting Solutions to Global Problems. The General Assembly is notably one of the most engaging committees, and will undoubtedly be an excellent beginning or addition to your MUN career. Delegates will have the opportunity to engage in a fruitful debate that will hopefully challenge them collectively, and as individuals.
In this year’s conference, we will be entertaining the topics of, “Evaluating the Future Opportunities and Risks of Genetic Engineering,” “Measures to Tackle Trafficking in Falsified Medical Products,” and “The Issue of the South American Migrant Crisis.” We hope that these topics will help delegates broaden their horizon on current issues, and help them to form opinions on what it means to have opportunities and use them in a beneficial manner.
We invite delegates to contribute to all aspects of the MUN conference, including participating in research on the topics and their delegation’s opinions on them. Delegates are encouraged to actively participate in lobbying, debating, and interacting with all members in the committee to ensure that their experience is as enriching as possible. We thank you for joining the General Assembly and look forward to a productive conference.
Warm Regards, President Renée Garg
Deputy President Dorian Crone Chair Zara Al Attiya.
